Description

When I first joined the University of Utah, I was brought on to support and develop interactive modules for Learn.Genetics. This site has been a widely used, free educational resource for over 20 years and is beloved by educators around the world. Over time, some of the original technologies, such as Flash, became outdated, which introduced significant technical debt. To preserve access to these materials, we implemented solutions like the Ruffle Flash emulator, allowing classic modules such as Mouse Party to remain available. I also provide ongoing maintenance and updates for its companion site, Teach.Genetics, which offers support materials for teachers.

In addition to maintaining legacy content, I’ve contributed to the development of new interactive experiences, including Odor 2 Action and Seeds of Change (currently in progress).
